Find your starting point

You do not have to understand a whole subject at once. Begin with one useful question.

Start with a term you do not recognise.

Look for a plain-language explanation. Write down what remains unclear, then look for a source that addresses that specific point.

Follow the question, not just the headline.

Ask what happened, what evidence is available and which part of the story is interpretation. An answer can be useful without being complete.

Choose a reading path.

Browse articles tagged context, digital life or critical reading. Each collection offers a different starting point.

Leave room to change your view.

A useful reading habit is to notice what might change your understanding. Keep questions open when the available information does not settle them.
